"Where Champions Bloom"

The Flora Cup is PAL FC's annual spring tournament held in Hagerstown, Maryland. Inspired by Flourish Entertainment's mission to help kids grow on and off the field, the Flora Cup brings together top U12 boys teams for a competitive, beautifully run event that feels like a true cup final weekend.

This is a small, high-standard invitational designed to showcase players who love the ball, compete the right way, and respect the game, their opponents, and themselves.

Tournament Schedule

Group stage matches will be played on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Fairgrounds Park. The Final will be played on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Meritus Park with a full walkout and awards ceremony.

Tournament Overview

Age Group: U12 (boys or co-ed)
Format: 9v9 (including goalkeeper)
Roster Size: Maximum 15 players
Teams: Two groups of four (PAL FC + first 7 accepted teams)
Games Guaranteed: 3 group matches (Saturday)
Final: Group winners advance to the Flora Cup Final on Sunday
Scoring System:
- Win = 3 points
- Tie = 1 point
- Loss = 0 points
- Tiebreaker = Goal differential, then additional GotSport tiebreakers if needed

Registration

Team Fee: $450
Registration Deadline: February 28, 2026
Payment: Checks payable to Police Athletic League Football Club
Competition Level: Competitive U12 teams (club, travel, and strong recreational/select teams welcome)

Rules & Policies

All matches follow USYS rules with Flora Cup-specific adjustments for U12 9v9

Three referees will be assigned to the Championship Match.
No 3rd-place game; only group winners advance to the Final.
Awards ceremony for Champion and Finalist teams after the Final, including trophies, medals, and a special Flora Cup flower presentation.

Player Documentation

After a team is accepted into the Flora Cup, the team must submit proof of player age and registration (player cards or birth certificates) by the posted check-in deadline.
Coaches/Managers are also required to have physical copies of all player cards or birth certificates on hand at every match. Tournament staff and referees reserve the right to perform card checks at any time. Failure to provide proper documentation may result in the player being ruled ineligible and/or game forfeiture.
